We are a company that loves animals so much, that we also love the families that raise them as their own. And we believe these families deserve all the support they need. They say it takes a village to help raise a child.

And we endeavour to bring together a community that helps pet families thrive.

To give you an idea of how animal crazy our founders are, let’s have a look at their life stories. You will find a multitude of furry tails, wet snouts and even wrinkly trunks popping out at regular intervals.

Yuvaraj is the kind of guy, who would stop traffic and help a sick, old stray cross the street. Yes, he’s done that!

And he regularly feeds and tends to the medical needs of a large number of strays along with a like-hearted group of friends)

It was this empathy and love for animals that motivated Yuvaraj to first begin formulating natural therapies for pets.

Like most dogs, are prone to ticks and fleas, Yuvaraj’s best friend, “Buddy” too suffered from them periodically. His mother always used Ayurvedic remedies to treat Buddy. Yuvaraj was moved by her determination not to use the readily available chemical treatments which could have harmful side effects.

In 2018, he earned a diploma in Organic and Natural Skincare and Haircare formulations from a renowned UK based institute. He assiduously blended scientific knowledge and methods with Ayurvedic principles to formulate natural therapies for Buddy.

These remedies worked wonders not just on Buddy’s fur but also his vitality which uplifted the entire household’s mood.

This inspired Yuvaraj to make more all-natural solutions for pets belonging to friends and family. The remedies had amazing results and the demand from harrowed pet parents kept increasing. After 2 years of making these therapeutic products in limited quantities, Yuvaraj felt it was time to make them available to the larger pet community.

However, it was a mammoth project for one person. Yuvaraj’s vision might have stayed a pipeline dream had it not been for his partner and dream enabler Christina.

Christina’s induction into animal love happened even before she learnt her ABCs. As a tiny tot, she lived with her grandparents in a picturesque hamlet in Kerala, with roosters, goats, dogs, cats and even elephants for company!

Her grandfather was a traditional healer who created Ayurvedic oils and potions using herbs they grew in their backyard.

Christina learnt not just about the potency of Ayurveda but also compassion from him.

After completing University education, she moved to a village in Maharashtra to help a large community of visually impaired families set up self-employment projects to sustain themselves.

During this time, Christina rescued a tiny pup whose entire family had been slaughtered. Had it not been for her intervention, Sheru would have probably met the same fate.

Christina was able to add deeper roots to Yuvaraj’s Ayurvedic knowledge with her grandfather’s therapeutic tenets. A true naturalist, she began work on the logistics of sourcing organic ingredients locally.

Yuvaraj began consulting with vets, Ayurvedic doctors and groomers to gain further insights into pet health. The most important part of this process was talking to pet parents about their most pressing problems.

Maw & Paw’s first range of pet care products was created by assimilating these inputs from pet parents. We, therefore, consider the pet parent community as equal Co-creators of Maw & Paw. It’s a company of the pet parents, by the pet parents, and for the pet parents.

The onus for pet care lies mostly upon pet parents. After all, animals are unable to speak up for themselves. At Maw & Paw, we fully understand that responsibility and are committed to empowering pet families to live healthy, happy lives. To begin with, we can assure you that we will never use any toxic ingredient that could harm the long-term health of ‘any’ of your family members or the environment.
